Choral Interfaith Thanksgiving
Tuesday, November 22 • Touro Synagogue
4238 St. Charles Avenue • Call time: 5:00pm • Service time: 6:00pm Dress code for singers: black & white (in any combination) We are excited to learn music from each other's faith traditions, and join together as a combined choir. For this first year, it is absolutely fine for choirs to focus on 2-3 songs if need be! We anticipate many singers from many choirs, and between us we will have everything covered. To keep things simple for this year, we will draw from the following repertoire; in the future, I would love to collaborate with our choir directors and clergy to select music for this service.
Thank you all for joining together for what promises to be a beautiful, memorable service of gratitude and sharing of musical traditions. -Cantor Kevin Margolius RehearsalSingers can rehearse with their own choirs, or they are welcome to join Touro's choir for rehearsal on the Wednesdays listed below from 7:30-9:00pm. Just contact the synagogue office at 504-895-4843 so we know you're coming.

Ki Eilecha – Shirona arr. Osborne
This is a mystical love song to God. Translation:
I would sing You the sweetest of songs, weave You tapestries of rhyme-
for You my soul is yearning....
To know Your sheltering hand, to grasp Your deepest mysteries- in these my soul delights.
The moment I speak of Your glory, Your love overpowers my heart.
Through speech I honor Your praiseworthy deeds, but I honor You best in love songs.
